Go Fly There is a flight-planning companion for pilots and aviation enthusiasts, available on mobile and the web. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Location data. The app requests access to your device location to center the map, calculate nearby airports and restaurants, and show distance estimates. Location is processed on your device for these features.
• Device and app information. Firebase Analytics and Mapbox may collect device identifiers (such as an app instance ID), device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, and interaction signals to provide analytics and map services.
• Usage analytics (anonymous). We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (such as feature interactions, screen views, and performance events). We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other direct identifiers in analytics. Analytics data is used only to improve the app.
• Map and tile requests. The app uses Mapbox to render map tiles and display your position. Mapbox may receive technical data required to provide mapping services and may collect default telemetry. This typically includes device and usage signals needed to run and improve the map experience.
• User submissions. If you submit a new location or feedback, we collect the content you provide (such as a location name, airport code, and feedback message) and the submission timestamp. We also store the platform (such as Android or iOS) for feedback. We do not request personal information in these forms. Web editor submissions are sent to us for manual review.
• On-device preferences. The app stores preferences such as saved home airports, favorite airports/restaurants, and aircraft profiles locally on your device.
• Support communications. If you email support, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

How We Use Information

• Provide core features like map display, nearby results, and distance estimates.
• Understand overall app usage and improve performance and stability.
• Review user-submitted locations and feedback for future releases.
• Respond to support inquiries.

Data Retention

• User submissions. Location submissions and feedback are retained indefinitely. They are intended to be non-personal, as we do not request personal information in those forms.
• Analytics and map telemetry. Retention periods for Firebase Analytics and Mapbox telemetry are governed by those providers’ policies and settings.
• On-device data. Preferences and saved items remain on your device until you delete the app or clear its storage.

Data Sharing

• Firebase Analytics (Google). We share anonymous usage analytics events with Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve the product.
• Firebase Firestore (Google). User-submitted locations and feedback are stored in Firestore so we can review them.
• Mapbox. Map tile and related requests are sent to Mapbox, which may collect default telemetry associated with map usage.

Your Choices

• Location access. You can disable location permissions in your device settings, but core map features may be limited.
• Submissions. Submitting locations or feedback is optional. If you choose not to submit, no submission data is collected.

Children’s Privacy

Go Fly There is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent changes.
